Senior Backend Engineer

We are searching for an experienced engineer to join our Convious Engineering team. In this role, you will have a strong influence on how we work and what we work on. It is fine if you do not have experience with all of the specific technologies we use, as long as you are willing to learn. We are also always open to learning something new from people joining our team.

Role and responsibilities:

• Participate as an empowered member of a collaborative agile team, developing our high-performance experience platform

• Skilled programmer with an emphasis on high quality maintainable code, and robust system design

• Identify opportunities to improve the existing services and workflows to enhance developer experience, operations, and customer experience

• Leverage continuous deployment and test automation tools in order to deploy application changes to production daily

We expect you:

• To have extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design

• The ability to write code that is testable, maintainable, and performant. You have a strong understanding of clean software architecture patterns and can clearly communicate both high and low level implementation details to your colleagues

• Are passionate about learning new things, and continuously leveling up those around you

• Can demonstrate proficiency in Python and are open to working with and mastering other technologies as needed

• Have excellent problem-solving skills and can balance code quality with rapid iteration and product evolution

• Have strong communication skills and are fluent in English

• Having great SQL skills, and experience working with Data Warehouses and/or Data Pipelines would be a big plus
