Convious is a leading software company that connects the experience economy with their visitors. Our platform engages, converts and sells to more consumers by enhancing the customer journey and experience. We are mainly active in the experience economy, serving attractions like a Zoo, Theme Parks, Wellness Venues, Museums and more. Our policy is always to “act in Convious’ best interest”. We don’t have many rules or forms about the work process and we intermix work and personal time quite a bit. You will need to be comfortable working in the most agile of environments. Requirements might be vague, and iterations will be rapid.

The Convious Data Engineering team is small and flexible, and each new team member will shape how our team works. It is fine if you do not have experience with the specific technologies we use, as long as you are willing to learn.

We are seeking a Data Engineer to work on building out our data platform. In this role, you will work on setting up data pipelines and migrating to Snowflake, among other tasks, to empower various services within our platform.

Job requirements

  • Introduce new tools and workflows, and improve existing ones to make data processing and analysis easier and faster

  • Design, integrate, and document technical components to grow our data platform

  • Maintain and improve the current data platform

  • Optimize the performance of the data platform to enable 100x scaling

  • Investigate data problems, identify patterns, and provide solutions

  • Migrate data to Snowflake and set up data pipelines

  • Work closely with the Data Architect, Data Analyst, and Product Owner

Skills and qualifications:

  • Strong engineering background, preferably with an education in Computer Science or a related field

  • Experience in data warehouse design and data processing tools

  • Experience in data pipeline design, both batch and streaming

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL

  • Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English

  • Ability to balance code quality with rapid iterations and evolution of the product

  • Still, we value a sharp mindset and willingness to learn over skills and toolsets

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Snowflake, Airflow, and DBT is a plus

  • Intro call with our recruiter

  • 1st Interview with our Data Architect 

  • Technical assignment

  • Final interview with the team 

Currently, we can hire people that are either based in the Netherlands since we are following a hybrid work policy (at least 1 day per week at the office).
