Senior Software Engineer

We are searching for strong engineers to join our Convious Engineering team. Our team is small and flexible, and each new team member shapes how we work. It is fine if you do not have experience with the specific technologies we use, as long as you are willing to learn. We are also always open to learning something new from people joining our team.

As a Backend Engineer, you will work on our services powering ticketing platform, mobile app, as well as customer portal and data pipelines. As we continue to expand you will have an opportunity to make improvements to existing architecture as well as develop completely new services and build infrastructure to support them. We are very flexible and you will be free to choose the balance that works for you.

Role and responsibilities:

• Participate as an empowered member of a collaborative agile team to design, develop and maintain high-performance applications

• Code with Python/Django. Occasional Typescript with Node.js where needed

• Build REST services that operate at scale are fault-tolerant and efficient

• Identify opportunities to improve the existing services and workflows to enhance developer experience, operations, and customer experience

• Leverage continuous deployment and test automation tools in order to deploy application changes to production daily

• Have ownership and responsibility for your chosen domain

We expect you:

• Are an experienced software engineer with hands-on work experience in developing or operating at scale

• Want to learn new things and share your knowledge with others

• Want to work with Python/Django

• Are able to balance code quality with rapid iterations and evolution of the product

• Have good communication skills and are fluent in English

• Having great SQL skills, and experience working with Data Warehouses and/or Data Pipelines would be a big plus
