Are you curious, persistent, logical, clever and love process automation? Then this could be the perfect opportunity to join us because we are looking for a responsible Financial Controller. In this wide-ranging role, you will be responsible for all a diversity of accounting & control activities. You will be reporting to the Director Accounting & Control. This role is based in Amsterdam.

Job requirements

Roles & responsibilities:

    • Manage all day-to-day accounting activities

    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

    • Support month-end and year-end close process

    • Manage and comply with local reporting requirements and tax filings

    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

    • Coordinate the preparation for timely reporting

    • Prepare timely monthly financial reports

    • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts

    • Additional controller duties as necessary

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 4 years’ relevant work experience

  • University graduate in finance or business economics

  • Audit practice experience at a Big Four accounting firm is a plus

  • Hands-on experience

  • You enjoy automating your tasks and improving everything you do all the time. Assuming the status quo is not good enough for you

  • You have working experience in Dutch reporting standards (Dutch GAAP) and tax requirements

  • IT-literate, you are an expert in Excel or Google Sheets and find your way around a BI tool

  • Experience in financial accounting software, Twinfield is a pre

  • Excellent command of Dutch and English

  • Enthusiastic, inquisitive and enterprising team player, strong character and proactive attitude
